Juristo AI:
AI Legal Research Platform
A SaaS-based AI legal research and document automation platform enabling case law search, judgment summarization, legal drafting, and voice-based legal assistance.
The Project Overview
Legal research is dense, precedent-heavy, and unforgiving of inaccuracy. Juristo AI needed an AI platform that could search case law, summarize lengthy judgments, generate legal drafts, and provide voice-based assistance — without the hallucination risk that makes generic LLM tools unusable for legal work.
The platform also needed to coordinate multiple specialized AI tasks — retrieval, summarization, reasoning, and drafting — in a way that stayed context-aware across a single research session, while handling the security and compliance expectations that come with legal documents and court records.
Toadster designed a multi-agent AI architecture using LangChain and LangGraph, coordinating specialized agents for legal research and drafting rather than relying on a single monolithic prompt. Judgment retrieval, summarization, and context-aware legal reasoning were implemented across multiple LLMs — OpenAI, Cohere, Anthropic, and Gemini — chosen for the strengths each model brought to specific legal reasoning tasks.
REST APIs built on Django REST handled real-time data processing, user interactions, and orchestration between agents, while voice-based legal assistance was integrated through dedicated speech-to-text and text-to-speech pipelines, letting lawyers interact with the platform hands-free during research.
We optimized LLM queries, caching, and document chunking specifically for legal text, which tends to be long, dense, and citation-heavy, to improve both inference speed and cost efficiency. Data security and compliance were treated as first-class requirements throughout, given the sensitivity of legal documents and court judgments being processed.
Enterprise Architecture
Built with modern, scalable technologies designed for production reliability.
Measurable Success
Juristo AI now gives lawyers a single platform to search case law, get grounded judgment summaries, generate first-draft legal documents, and interact via voice — with multi-agent coordination keeping every response context-aware across the research session.
“What impressed us most was how Toadster handled the multi-LLM coordination. Each model does what it's best at, and the lawyer never has to think about which one is answering.”
